The Halls of Ivy is an NBC radio sitcom that ran from 1950-1952. It was created by Fibber McGee & Molly co-creator/writer Don Quinn before being adapted into a CBS television comedy produced by ITC Entertainment and Television Programs of America. British husband-and-wife actors Ronald Colman and Benita Hume starred in both versions of the show.Quinn developed the show after he had decided to leave Fibber McGee & Molly in the hands of his protégé Phil Leslie. The Halls of Ivy's audition program featured radio veteran Gale Gordon and Edna Best in the roles that ultimately went to the Colmans, who demonstrated a flair for radio comedy during the late 1940s recurring roles on The Jack Benny Program.

An introductory film played at the Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Orientation Center theater at the American Museum of Natural History. Narrated by Meryl Streep, it illustrates the major evolutionary changes and episodes of diversification and extinction that have shaped the course of vertebrate evolution.

“The Ivy” focuses on a mother, Azucena, 31, who, gravely ill, attempts to rekindle a relationship with her son, Julio, whom she abandoned after giving birth at the age of 13. Julio, now 18, is about to abandon the orphanage where he’s lived and is a near adult without having experienced a child’s joy of proximity to parents. Azucena invites Julio and the other orphans to her home. Julio doesn’t know at first that he’s her son. When he finds out the truth, he feels furious while having to look after his fast deteriorating mother as he best he can.

An all-black inner city school has to become an integrated school. Few dozen white kids are transfered there, but the black students are aggressively opposed to this. The school then approaches a tough black teacher for help.

In this East German film, the third one in The Third is Margit's third lover. After her mother's death, Margit has two affairs which don't work out, and one lesbian friendship which she retains. She is looking for a husband, though, and thinks she has spotted a candidate in her fellow factory worker. As she contemplates marrying him, her story is told in a series of flashbacks.

When she tells them she wants to go back to school and will be leaving soon, the 20ish year old son decides what she needs is a change and begins searching for a man to wine and dine her, but who won't marry her, thinking that this will distract her from her plans. The man he finds doesn't entirely cooperate.
